Christmas Cuties

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was wonderful! Lots of talking, laughing, eating and playing filled the day. Ray's dad made a huge roast stuffed with a delicious stuffing and lobster. I forgot to get a family picture...we will have to do that soon.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was SO much fun! The night before we had left cookies and milk for Santa and carrots on the front porch for the reindeer. Brayden was so cute counting out the cookies and lining up the carrots. He was so excited! Ray and I were so excited that night...we felt like little kids again! : ) We couldn't wait to see his face when he saw what Santa brought him. Callie Reese has been giving us the gift of sleep. She has been sleeping around 10 hours straight for the last week! Thank you Callie! ; ) We had a really fun morning!
"A bicycle and presents!"

Checking out the cookie crumbs that Santa left

He asked Santa for a blue bicycle!

Showing off his muscles and his new rain boots

Eating breakfast with his new DVD player, new helmet and new rain boots...life is good! : )

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was wonderful! Family, a delicious seafood dinner made by my dad, and time to chat and laugh together! Perfect.

Sweet Cousins

Our nieces spent the night a few days ago, and we had such a fun time. I say this all of the time, but Brayden just loves his cousins! They are so great with him too! We made our own pizzas, ate lots of candy and watched The Polar Express. The next morning, the girls made banana chocolate pancakes and we had fun dressing Callie up and taking pictures...Such sweet girls!!!

Two Year Olds and Group Pictures...

I love taking a group picture with two year olds! It really is so funny trying to get little ones who don't sit still for very long to all look at the camera and sit together for a period of time. This was our attempt to get a group picture of our Monday afternoon playgroup....as you can see...during the time I took the first picture and the second, Brynna had already made a run for it! : )

Christmas Party

A few weeks ago, the Smith family had us over for a playgroup family Christmas party. It was nice to get to see the families before we move, and we also said goodbye to Ellie's family who is moving as well. We had a great time, and as usual, it was fun to watch the kiddos play together.

William wasn't there because he was sick, and Brynna didn't want to sit for the picture. We will have to get one with both of them soon.

He wore his Santa hat the entire day, and then added the glasses!

Love

I have said this so much in the last couple of months, but I am so thankful that Brayden has taken on the role of big brother so well! He absolutely LOVES his sister, and he takes every opportunity to kiss her, hold her hand, hug her or talk to her. When she cries, he either brings her a paci or sings to her (usually Ba Ba Black Sheep...he says its her favorite). He really is so sweet with her. My heart is so full!!!

Sleep is AMAZING!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love my sleep! : ) For the last week, Callie has slept 7-10 hours at night! I feel like a new woman! It is amazing how you truly forget what it is like to have a full night's sleep! Here's to hoping this continues!

Ohio, here we come...

A few weeks ago, we found out that we will be moving to Ohio. Ray was given a wonderful career opportunity in Akron, Ohio, so we will be there for about 18 months. We have always loved being close to our families, so this will be a very different experience for us. Although we will miss our family and friends, we are looking forward to experiencing things that we wouldn't have the opportunity to do in Texas. We found a beautiful house in Hudson, Ohio. Hudson is a quaint town 20 miles outside of Akron. There are lots of parks, hiking and biking trails, small ski slopes, lakes, farms and lots of other "outdoorsy" things to do there.

So much to be thankful for...
