Last year in my twenties...

I turned 29 yesterday. I can't believe that I only have one more year in my twenties! When I was younger, I remember thinking how old that sounded! I had such a wonderful surprise yesterday. Sam and baby Davis surprised me, and drove in from Austin for the day! It was such a surprise and so great to see both of them!!! I had not seen baby Davis since the day he was born, and he has changed so much! He is such a sweet baby, and he is absolutely adorable!!!!! Sam and I enjoyed playing with the boys and chatting the day away. Before we knew it, it was time to go to my Mom and Dad's house for dinner. My mom made rouladen...my dinner of choice! We had a great night with family. It was a great birthday! Here's to living it up as a "twenty something" year old! : )

Isn't he just adorable??? And so sweet!

Children's Museum

We went with our playgroup to the Children's Museum today, and we had a lot of fun! Brayden really enjoyed exploring and playing. At first, he was so excited that he just started spinning in circles and smiling. It is really neat to see how much he enjoys figuring out how things work. We had a great day!

We spent a lot of time playing with this huge Lite Brite. He loved taking the cylinders out and moving them all around.

This was fun too! He loved spinning these and looking at all of the different colors.

He flipped the little light switch up and down, and we watched the light go on...off...on...off...

Our Social Butterfly

Brayden is quite the social butterfly! He loves to catch people's eye and and say "hi", which he then follows up with a great big smile. On Mondays, Brayden and I enjoy going to HEB for our weekly grocery shopping trip. He says hi to the greeter, the people at the deli, the workers stocking the shelves and all of the shoppers. It is so sweet to see how his little "hi" can really bring huge smiles to people's faces. As we stroll down each and every aisle, we enjoy tasting all of the food samples. If I happen to miss one, Brayden will point and say, "Mommy...peas (please)...peas!" We always have so much fun socializing and sampling at the grocery store!

Moody Gardens

Last week, we took a day trip to Moody Gardens. We had such a fun day! Brayden's favorite parts were the Aquarium and the Trail of Lights. He really took it all in and looked so carefully at everything. He also enjoyed his first 3D Imax movie. When he began singing along during the Christmas movie, we decided that lasting through half of the movie was impressive enough. : )

Christmas 2009

Our Christmas was truly wonderful! We had such a fabulous few days filled with family. After Ray made us breakfast on Christmas Eve, we spent the day at my Mom and Dad's house, and it was so relaxing. Brayden had a lot of fun opening gifts, and his favorite part was pulling the bows off of each and every present. Grandpa and Grandma gave Brayden his first Junior Power Wheels car. We weren't sure how he would react to it, but he hopped on, pressed the button, and started driving. I think he was a little surprised that he could handle it too! We woke up on Christmas morning, and everyone came over to our house to see what Santa had left for Brayden. We went to Ray's parents' house on Christmas day and enjoyed the day with them. We feel so blessed to have a wonderful family.
