Bring on the Undies

OK...no undies yet, but we are in potty training mode, and Brayden is doing great! Brayden began by telling us when he had to go "poo poo". I was so surprised that he was ready, and that he was initiating potty training. He has been using the potty for both poo poo and pee pee about four or five times a day. It is so cute the way he so enthusiastically says, "Poo poo (or pee pee) potty!" He is very proud of himself after he goes...we clap, high five and his favorite part is flushing the toilet and washing his hands with his red Elmo soap. We are so proud of him, and I think he really loves the independence of using the potty himself!

Reading his Elmo book while doing his business...(He is going to love this pic when he gets older! ha)

Ready for Summer

We met some friends at a splash pad yesterday. We had a lot of fun, and it got me so excited about the summer! Take a look at this little cutie in his swim gear.

It's A....

GIRL!!!! We are SO excited that Brayden is going to have a baby sister! Monday was such an exciting day. During the ultrasound, the technician asked us if we had any predictions or dreams, and Ray told her that he predicts a girl, and I told her that I had a dream that it was a boy. After a few minutes, she said, "Well, it's a girl!" Ray had a huge smile from ear to ear, and tears began rolling down my face. We are so happy, and it was so wonderful to watch our tiny baby girl moving inside of me. Just like when we found out that Brayden was a boy, we went to dinner and did a little shopping. Here is a picture of our baby girl's first pink dress. I can't wait to meet her and to see Brayden with his little sister!

Macy and Brayden

Recently, Macy stayed with us for a few hours while her Mom and Dad had a walk through at their new house. Brayden and Macy have so much fun together, and they get so excited when they see each other! Brayden just loves showing Macy all of his toys and sharing his snacks with her. Macy thinks that Brayden is hilarious, and every time Macy laughs at him he continues to be more and more silly. They are so cute!

How to Take a Shower with a Toddler Running Around

I can actually take a really great shower while Brayden is entertaining himself with trash, a few balls, and the bathtub. After he is finished emptying out the trash can, he enjoys watching the water run over it. PS- I don't know where he got the tea bag...

Easter

We had such a fabulous Easter! On Saturday, we dyed eggs. I really had no idea that Brayden would be so interested and excited to color the eggs. I thought that we would be dyeing the eggs, and Brayden would be running around playing, but that was not the case. He LOVED it! He was so excited to drop the eggs in the dye. After he put the egg in, he clapped for himself, and he also looked around to make sure that everyone was clapping. He was also very careful (Ok--I probably shouldn't use the word 'careful') to take the eggs out and place them (really 'drop' them) in the egg carton. We went to the family service at church on Saturday night, and Brayden really enjoyed the music. He was clapping and singing during all of the songs. It got me so excited for him to understand and learn about the meaning of the Easter holiday. On Sunday morning, we went to brunch with my family, and it was delicious and a great time spent together. That afternoon, we went to Angela's house and enjoyed a great rest of the day hunting for eggs, decorating cookies, playing with water balloons and a yummy dinner.

Carefully taking the egg out...

"YAY, I put the eggs in the dye!"

"There's the candy!"

"Who cracked that confetti egg on me...huh?"

Downtown Aquarium

Last weekend, we went with Angela, Todd, and the girls to the Downtown Aquarium. We had a really fun time! It was a beautiful day! We rode the rides and enjoyed the aquarium! Brayden's favorite part was riding the "choo choo!" I had the realization that I have a fear of heights. We were on the ferris wheel, and when it started to move I quickly, and without even thinking about it, slid to the floor. I couldn't move. Brayden, Ray and Lacey just stared at me like, "Seriously...what are you doing?" It was really funny, but I decided that I have had enough of the ferris wheel for a while.

What to do with stale bread?

Feed it to the ducks, of course! Brayden really enjoys feeding the ducks, and he also enjoys sampling the bread for himself. Everytime we pass the lake with the ducks, Brayden says, "Quack quacks...bread."
