Who needs a pool?

Who needs a pool when you have outdoor public showers to keep you entertained? We went with some of our friends to the Beach Club at the beginning of the summer. I think they had more fun playing in the showers than they did in the pool! They are so cute. You can see the concern on their faces when the water would go off. One of the moms had to quickly turn the shower back on to keep the fun going!

The Zoo

A few weeks ago, we went to the zoo. Brayden LOVES animals! He gets completely intrigued by them and really enjoyed watching them. When we asked him which animal was his favorite, he said, "Monkey...ooh ooh ooh ahh ahh ahh!" We had a really fun time! It was a great day.

Lake LBJ Weekend

Brayden stayed with his Nona and Papa while Ray and I went to Lake LBJ near Austin for our annual lake weekend with some good friends. It was such a relaxing weekend. We spent lots of time on the boat and an entire day just cruising around jumping in and out of the water...so nice! The girls always laugh at the competitiveness of the guys. They turn everything into a competition...including shooting water balloons (with a huge sling shot) at the boat or each other on the jet skis from the deck. Too funny! A group of us played Texas Hold Em one night, and guess who the winner was...me!!! We had a great time, but of course we really couldn't wait to see Brayden when we got home. He had a lot of fun while we were gone!

So sweet

One morning, while we were at Lake Conroe, I was in the other room and I heard laughing and talking. I walked in to find Brayden and Ray eating breakfast in bed and laughing. It was music to my ears. I love these boys!

Seriously late post...

I have been a terrible blogger. No excuses. We had a wonderful vacation with my family in South Padre Island...no...scratch that because Hurricane Ike was headed straight therefor July 4th weekend, so we quickly had to come up with plan B. We went to a fabulous resort on Lake Conroe, and we had a great time! We had such a fun time on the lazy river, in the heated pools (which is important when you swim in the rain ha!), on the miniature golf course, and just spending time together! There was really so much to do there! They had the best little kiddie waterpark area, and no matter where we were in the hotel or out at the pool, Brayden knew where he could see the huge "bucket" drop a ton of water everywhere. He would start counting and yell, "Bucket!" We took a pontoon boat out one day, and we had a great time...except when I won the "Mom of the Year Award." I was putting sunscreen on Brayden, and I accidentally sprayed him directly in the eye. I felt horrible. He cried for a minute or two, but every time I looked at his little swollen Quasimoto eye I felt so terrible! It was a great trip, and we had so much fun!
